In regards to Barack Obama, education and eloquence does not equal wisdom and common sense. Be careful what you ask for, because you may just get it. If he does win the White House, his first 100 days will be very telling. I guess I missed the memo that I was supposed to look to Colin Powell for advice on elections.

True, but "spreading the wealth" is not how you grow an economy. Not to mention taking away everything America is. This is America, it was founded by people who wanted to make their own money, as much as they wanted and not have to give to anyone who didn't diserve it. You give those guys a tax break so they have an insentive to grow thier business and make more money. If they grow, that creates jobs, when you create jobs you have more tax payers. Funny how that works out. In the end it will be more efficient to be on welfare. You can't make people be responible, but if you keep giving them an option or way out (such as welfare, abortion), they are always going to take the easy road.

Hear is my suggestion. I work on a base in Iraq. The base is over-run with TCN (third country nationals) or Hajis as we call them. They do maintenace on everything here, work in the chow halls and such. I saw one the other day pressure washing concrete barriers in a parking lot. You read correctly. Concret barriers. Your tax dollars hard at work. So here's the plan. Do away with welfare, if you are on un-employment of for longer than 90 days, you and your family get put on a plane sent of here to do work for six months, paid of course. Instead of paying the hajis to do it. Then set them up with a job back in the states and they come back. After they come back they must remain employed for a minum of 12 months before filling for unemployment again. If they apply before those 12 months they are on the next plane back over here for another 6.

Now the reason, besides creating more jobs for Americans and creating more American tax payers. If you do away with welfare that creates poverty which will lead to an increase in crime. Get those people out of the U.S. and working. That way they have a job and can't commit crime. Plus they are on a base full of men with loaded weapons, if they want to escape, more men with a sweet tooth for headless Americans.

Exactly!!! People were not electing a King, Congress has all the "real" power. Both candidates are morons.......vote em' all out and let's enact term limits on these "career" politicians!
