    A different kind of pull.

Well, I haven't even started getting the boat ready and I needed a fix. Any kiters out there. My favorite way to get a pull when its too windy to ride. The wife was all too happy to get out of the house.

Yep, Triple Trilby and sometimes 5 stacked. I also have one that is similar to the one in your picture. Haven't done it for a few years but you can really stop traffic if you are in the right place and people stop to watch. Fun pastime.

I've got a Hawiian from way back in the day. 7' tip to tip. Unfortunitely, my father smashed it nose first into the ground and tore the sail bad. I was super bummed. That was a $500 kite back in the 80's. Tough to get pissed at your dad on fathers day for destroying a kite he gave you. The one in the pic is a Prisom (I think). It hadn't been flown for at least 5 years. I forgot how much fun it is.

Don't think I've flown a kite since my Mr.T/A-Team kite back in the 80's..........there are a lot of kite shops on the Oregon Coast, but I've never given it any thought.

You could probably pick up a kite like the one in the pics for $30-$35. You should. It's fun.

Maybe I'll take out my sailboat.

Ha Ha you laugh? Those crappy, windy days camping on the beach, fools sittin' in their tents to keep them on the ground, your buddies drunk in the campers, not me my friend. You'll find me 'footin down the beach behind a 7' rocket ship.

Actually, I was serious. A few years ago I bought a sailboat hoping my kids would want to learn. The only kids I've taught have been neighbor's kids.

                        Really? What kind of boat?

I've only sailed once. That was on a 16" Hobie cat probably 20 years ago. It was a kick in the pants. Got to hang out on the trapeze with one side out of the water and everything. I've been thinking I'd like to have one.

It's a 14' AMF Puffer. You can fit 2 people in it. It has a mainsail and a jib. It's pretty fun and easy to maneuver.
