            One thing that is really questionable is the mention of using the <strong> tag instead of a <b> tag. I don't think <b> is deprecated is it?

                From what I understand <b></b> was more web 1.0 while <strong></strong> is more web 2.0 compliant.

                    Its not a compatibility, compliance or web 2.0 thing, the best way to look it is that <i> and <b> is used for DISPLAY, and <strong> <em> is used for EMPHASIS. So for SEO, you can use <b> when you don't want to bring attention to SEO, but display BOLD. Use strong when you want the search engine to key on the terms. You can even use CSS to make strong not display different at all, so you can have engine key in on keywords without displaying them bold. If you don't care about seo, <b> and <i> are just as good, and I don't think will ever be deprecated.
