    In the digital world.

Keep in mind analog does benefit from build quality and strand count to a certain degree.

Blu Ray's numbers have been coming out......wow....they dropped some cash. They pretty much spent themselves silly to be sure BetaMax did not happen again. Toshiba has to be happy about the final outcome as well. They stand to make quite a bit of money by losing.

Yeah, well you won't see me buying a Blu-Ray player any time soon. Ditto for the PS3.

I agree. My Xbox is doing well and I can buy content from them for now. However, I feel that we will all migrate to the Blu-Ray disk because they will stop making DVD's in the future. When will that be??? Ask SP, he seems to be Nostradamus today

You have to get an Apple TV. You'll need high-speed internet. We have DSL and you can rent an HD Movie and watch it within a minute. It's awesome.

Better yet, we have our photos set up to show on a slide show and you can make it play your favorite play list while it's doing this. Great for parties or just remembering how good it is to be you.

I've said this all along (maybe not here), Monster Cables are a major ripoff but because of their marketing (and dealers) the public thinks nothing is better. Best Buy will push them until Joe Average buys them. They tried that on me when i bought my Sony LCD TV. They swore they are the best HDMI's, BS! I get my stuff from Blue Jeans Cable in Seattle and nobody is better imo. None of the discount houses can beat him and he's honest with a money back gaurentee. Read this, Does Wire Matter then scroll to the bottom and check his prices. Example, his best 8' HDMI (which is better than Monsters) is $35 while Monsters in the same length is $98 at Best Buy. His Monster comparable cable is only $24. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what's happening here. He uses only Belden cable which is excellent quality.

I needed a 16' HDMI to the TV from the A/V reciever in order to hide it so you couldn't see it. So i ordered a 16' HDMI from Blue Jeans but it was on back order for two weeks so i grabbed a 8' Monster (biggest they carry!) at Best Buy when there the next day to get it running, figured i'd return it when the other showed up. Guess what? Absolutely no difference between the two as i figured. When i returned the Monster they asked why and i told 'em. They didn't like that.

Btw, i'd heard about Blue Jeans while doing some research about HDMI months back from the AVS Forum, these guys are really helpfull and know their stuff.

And Best Buy is giving everyone that bought a HD-DVD play at $50 gift card that is registered with the Rewards Zone.

A little more info from Slashdot....

Up yours Blu-Ray. Information wants to be free.
"In July 2007, Richard Doherty of the Envisioneering Group (BD+ Standards Board) declared: 'BD+, unlike AACS which suffered a partial hack last year, won't likely be breached for 10 years.' Only eight months have passed since that bold statement, and Slysoft has done it again. According to the press release, the latest version of their flagship product AnyDVD HD can automatically remove BD+ protection and allows you to back-up any Blu-ray title on the market."
