Living in Louisiana poses its share of low area issues. We have to carry flood insurance, hurricane deductibles, and deal with open ditches among many of them. Finally my open ditch dilemma is solved. They are getting piped right now. It will be nice to not have to power trim a 3 foot deep ditch in the front yard. The best benefit is that I can finally back my tandem axle trailer into the back without issue. It has been at a bud's house under cover waiting on me to finish up. Living so far away from family and friends in construction business meant I had to get it done locally so I paid more than I wanted, but still a fair price.
PS: If you ever have to fight your local government on anything, especially in Louisiana.....don't....they drag it out for years. Finally another neighbor took over on our drainage issue, so I can back him with everything I have been doing in a effort to get reimbursed for what I am having done. :guns: I went as far as I could without hiring a lawyer. Sometimes it's easier read:cheaper to give up.
