I bought the USM model. It's rare that my shots are not in focus and when they are, it's because I focused on the wrong thing.

It appears that the only difference is the USM, I believe that is the Ultrasonic Motor, is that worth the difference in price?http://wake9.com/

It does have Autofocus. That is what the USM does, right?

You're going to love that set up Tall. Like I said, I've had that lens for 10 yrs now and It will reach out and take some awesome pics. The best part is, if I decide to upgrade to a digi SLR body, I don't have to buy lenses, my current lenses will workMikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

My daily use lens is a Canon EFS 17 -85 mm with auto-focus and auto-stabilization. It cost between $489 - $638 on the internet right, but it is an awesome lens!

Do you have the 70-300 or the 75-300, because there is a big difference in price and quality between the two? The 70-300 is a much better and more expensive lens.
