Emerald Cove:
Russ, the guy ya used to see all the time for years spotting trailers, is now the assit. manager.
Ron, husband of Michelle at the bar, is now the park manager. A good guy. Perfect for the job.
Butch has left the company.
No news on 50 AMP upgrade at EC, but they are installing it at some of their other locations.
More cabins/cottages have been ordered too for EC.
Saturdays Street party ended about 20 minutes after it started due to the lightning storm.
The CHP and SB Sheriffs don't mind our 7 year old Maynard driving the Golf Cart if an adult is with him. But, many people reported that the BLM Rangers don't want anyone under 16 driving period, and were writing tickets with a zero tolerance policy. Maynard:

We can run the A/C and the microwave at the same time so it seems the upgraded transformers have done some good.
At 120 deg F, RV A/C is almost useless anyway.
They're starting to notice the fly problem at the bar. The zappers are killing some, but the problem is still there in droves. Hope the snowbirds raise hell over it.
Ramses, the day bartender, got P.O'd at the manager Thursday, and stormed off the job went to his place on the reservation.
He was back the next day and the drama continued.
The manager threw a hamburger at the trash and missed, and told Ramses to clean it up. He balked, and lots of drama for the customers.
No wonder they have a fly problem.
Sat morning we woke up to Dove season at Bass Point.
As soon as sunrise hit it was like a Bugs Bunny cartoon. Shooters everyplace.

At the Del Rio Bar and Grill:
Anthony says he may be open Thanksgiving and New Years.
He mentioned he wants to run the Del Rio again next year, and re-open for summer starting Easter week.
He has to cut a deal with the powers that are the landlords - either BLM or CRA I guess.
No news on the new Del Rio dock on order.
Lots of topless girls were running around on the dock last weekend and the LEOS told them not if kids are about.
The big Toga party is Oct 20, probably his season closing weekend. A good event.
Some of the Mobil home units at Del Rio are for sale at super cheap prices. Their are some deals to be had. Especially if ya have the cash.
Seems the old, nasty, Del Rio Krusty Kitchen Krew is gone, and Becky the bartender was running the kitchen for the past few weeks.
Kyle the popular bartender is gone for good.
He works at the Yardhouse in HB if anyone is interested BTW.
I think his fine GF hanging around was the reason he was so popular.
She'll be missed for sure.
The guy who owns Lizards $4.06 a gallon gas is/was running the Del Rio karaoke. It's very popular with people on the Parker Strip. Brings in lots of familiar faces from along the river.
Saturdays lightning storm struck the corner of the building (at the elect drops) and started a fire, damage still visible.
Result: It shut down all the bar & kitchen equipment, but everything was restored within a few minutes. Except the Karaoke machine. It was burnt toast deluxe.
Kinda funny really, no, very funny if you were there. Now he'll have to charge $6 a gallon to buy a new one.
They will definately bring back karaoke at the Del Rio, Anthony says it brings in a full house.
That's it for tips and tales at EC/Del Rio.
