      Good luck, coach and stay injury free.

      My son's middle school team lost both their starting and backup quarterback for the season in the first game. At the rate they're going he'll be starting soon. It's his first year ever playing.

          We are now 3-0. We beat a good Mira Costa team from Manhattan Beach on Friday Night. The score was 17-12. We only gave up 6 points on D but MC recovered a fumble and took it to the house. This next week we play LA Jordan from Watts. They are traveling to our place this Thursday night. We should win this easily but must work to get better and not be complacent.

                  We are at home, no shank required. They only play day games at Jordan (no lights). They only threw rocks and batteries at us last year, but that was the kids in the projects.

                    Well we are 4-0 now. We beat LA Jordan 42-18. My reserve defensive players gave up the points and most of my starters were our of the game in the late second quarter. This week we play an improved Tesoro. They are 1-2 but have played very good teams. They are returning 7 starters from their offense last year and look very good on film. This will be the best team we will face in our pre-season. We are playing at Tesoro this week for any of you South County Tige guys who want to see a game.

                          We opened up league last night and won 58-0 over Marina HS. Marina is terrible but was 3-2 coming in. Defensively we had 5 INT's one for a TD and 6 sacks according to the paper. They had -14 yards rushing and 87 total yards of offense.

                          We are now 6-0 and were last ranked 4th in Orange County. Now the real test begins. The next 4 weeks will all be tough games vs. very good league opponents. We might have the 2 or 3 toughest league in Southern California. Next week we play Newport Harbor.
