I don't know the areas very well. But my grandmother lives up off of Pali Hwy just past the country club. My uncles live out past diamond head but before Hawaii Kai. My grandparents own property all over the island and the surrounding islands. They use to own a small hotel in waikiki (30 room deal) and sold the property to what is becoming the Trump Towers.

Yes the swells are on the south right now and the Hurricane is pushing swells to the south side

Welp, as previously stated, it is downgraded to CAT2, and probably isn't going to do anything but bring nice swell and clear skies. Have fun!

Your grandmother lives in Kailua very close to my aunt and uncle. I hope that everything turns out okay for them. The good news today is that the huricane has been downgraded.

Hey coach did you get back already or are you still gonna go? well anyways if your still gonna go take you TIGE and see if the hull takes MASSIVE CHOP from a hurricane. PUT IT TO THE TEST!

JK would be fun though to take your TIGE and have it cruise on the beach.

And now the attention turns to Dean.....it is gonna be a beast. Water temps are 89-92 off the coast here right now, and it hasn't been raining to churn the temps around. It is gonna have 10-14 ft. of 90 degree water to feed on.

I will never take my boat out in the gulf. Yesterday was 6-7 ft. seas with wind speed of only 15-20kts. It gets choppy in the gulf. Weather changes so fast here, you don't chance that.

Yeah, we're still dealing with Erin. Tons 'o rain this year. But, the lakes are full and so I can't complain. Plus my boat is in the shop at the moment, so I couldn't use it anyways.

If you want rain, come to Texas. Erin's finally on the way out and we have Dean to look forward to next week.
