And I am not sure about the iPhone. Windows Mobile has a program called Pocket Outlook that we send emails out on. I would think that Apple would have something like that on their phone also.
well i think that ragboy was saying he can email photos back and forth to his wife who has one.
but for people that wanna send me a text message they can't that's what just is agervating. If it was just a simple same password and log on it would not be a big deal.

I am sure you can but I am confused by Dom. I think he is saying that the iPhone does not have the capability of emailing from the phone into a pop3 account, sms, and mms. What do you say about that?
I know you can email them to your phone, it's just that that means someone else has to email to you too. If my friends send me a text message with a pic on it, I have to log on.
Does this make sense?

here is what I can say on this issue. My brother has one and it works great. It's a great phone and with the updates to it it works great.
The question is what are you going to be using it for?
For me I will be on the net just about all the time and while it does load well, the edge is slow when it comes to sites with pics or heavy data. For me to go into my work email system and back through firewalls it just didn't cut it. I have used 3g before on broad band cards and it was fine.
That is why I'm waiting for the 3g that will be out this summer.
If you don't need lots of internet usage then it's a great phone. Or you can always do like people did on the 8 gig to 16 gig phone's, they just took it back and paid the 15% restock fee.
I'm waiting, but also it's cuz I don't want to break my contract for a phone that is not exactly what I want, plus it still doesn't do pic messages which i use a ton of.
Make sense?
Dom,
I will mainly be using it to combine my phone and ipod. I currently carry my ipod with me just as much as my phone. I dont have a smart phone(using a flip phone now) so having a QWERTY keyboard will be a huge plus.
I will also be using it to check my different email accounts but dont plan on using it much to browse the web. I tried my coworkers iPhone and the network did seam slow.
Unfortunately I am getting impatient as my current phone is having problems.

It does not do mms out of the box. You can hack it and install something that does. There is a big announcement this week, about the iphone and the new sdk, and they are supposed to be rolling out new apps for business mail and stuff.

Like i said if your using it for iphone and ipod it's GREAT! Just make sure you get a case that is shock absorbant as a lot of people who use them for music have dropped them and had issues after. Agent 18 makes a great such case.
If using the net is second in prority then it's the perfect phone. You can always buy it now, then upgrade for the 15% restock fee. I just know that The main thing I'll be using it for is going through back firewalls for work, and I tried that and it was just too darn slow, so it's not the best for me.

Yeah I know there is a hack for it. But just figure I'll wait till the 3g. I'm not in a big hurry.
