True and funny how people are. The next big thing is going to be interesting to find out. I don't think it will be Apple or Microsoft that will have it. Could be something like teleporting or something.....

I have had an i phone since the day they came out and it has 8gigs of memory..I have all of my music, movies and complete seasons of tv on it. I still have plenty of room...Not sure how much you need? I'm actually on my second one, broke the first one on a rock at tower city.

I ordered one the same day also, 8 gigs is plenty. However, if you travel, and want to use the rent movie thing on it, I can see the 16, otherwise, 8 is fine.

Got one for Christmas and dropped it in January. Caught it with my foot and the screen cracked. 250 bucks to replace it with Apple. Bought it with an American Express card and they are replacing it since it was damaged in the first 90 days. Whew!!!

So who is gonna get it? I want it, but I can't find out if I can use it as a Highspeed card to my laptop. I have searched far and wide!!

As far as I know it cannot be what they call as "teathered" and used as a modem. But that was told to me when it first came out....

There is an app that will do that, if your iphone is hacked.

However, with all the 3rd party apps, I have found, I don't need to use it as a modem at all.

you can use it this way as a hacked one.

I'm still waiting for 3g to come to it. Then I'll buy one. Otherwise it still doesn't do everything I want on my phone so I'll just keep using my razr that does.

Razr doesn't have the net, but that's the only thing I miss. I'll just wait till 3g then seal the deal.

if you read inbetween the lines and what not apple is not going to make their goal of 10MM phones by the end of the yr. SO... they are having to release more and better phones. It's why there is a lot of people saying the 3g will come out in feb or march to get more phones sold. The cat was let out of the bag and they have not even sold as many as they say due to the fact that they said they sold all the phones that were sitting in the stores. someone slipped up.

yeah that could be true. I just saw where att will hit 350 cities with 3g and the 100 top cities will have it.

oh well who knows. I'll pick one up as soon as they get that.

I'm waiting for the new macbook pro to hit the stores. Or have they? I keep reading conflicting stuff.

This is purely speculation, but goes to what I said before in this list, that apple has seemed to be pushing getting wifi going everywhere, and NOT traditional 3G. Think about it for apple, they get ATT to do a nationwide wifi network, then they just made all existing iphones, "3G", but also makes sense why the MacBook Air didn't have the built in 3VDO, or WiMax that eveyone that it would have.

Who know what is going to happen, but 3G won't be a secret, just why the iphone was announced in Jan., and release in June. The FCC approval process is public. So you will know way in advance, when apple makes a traditional 3G iphone.

For me, I REALLY hope for the wifi national network. Thats a great idea. Either way, it doesn't matter to me, if I only get 1 year on my current iphone, it has been worth every penny of the $500 for me.
