Well, I think the best feature to come from MacWorld was the Apple TV and HD integration. However, it would be interesting to find out if they are able to hack the Apple TV to get rid of the DRM issue. Then for $4 a movie in HD would be and have the ability to keep the movie.

Okay, maybe a dream but again, someone will do it. They always do.

I got an Apple TV for Christmas and it does HD. It's really the best media center option out there. Now if I could only rent HD movies on iTunes...it's there...now I just need faster broadband.

If they don't, its just the studios, and apple will bring them around eventually. Look at that wireless TimeCapsule thing. Apple is prepared to have a wireless media server that stores all of your movies. Just wait, the time will come.

I seriously can't wait the 2 weeks. If I had to buy a new apple tv, I would have done it, but to get free upgrades, awesome. The current ATV will handle up to 720p, I am sure they will eventually go up to 1080p, but that will require hardware upgrade. However, apple seems to want to get these out there cheap, so it should be all good.

Netflix, blockbuster, etc, must be in a corner naked, huddled, rocking back and forth.

If Apple TV doesn't come with 1080I or P, I don't think I will get it. I don't feel like downgrading my picture quality.

yeah that's a good point rag. They are always churning and changing the market. I told my bro and step bro about the book air and the updates they are so excited.

I just wish I knew if the 3g would be an upgrade or not. If it was I'd buy the phone now. but then again who knows. Oh well. Feb needs to come with the SDK package and stuff. I dont' know why i'm waiting, I know I'll be buying one. Oh yeah I know, no $$

I doubt 3g is upgrade. I don't think apple hid a 3g chip in the iphone.

on 1080p, I don't think you will notice difference, plus, if I know apple the encoding will be h.264 and done right. Also, the only way anyone is downloading 1080P movies, is when we all get fiber optics in our house, you know? If it was downloadable, it would be because it was a crappy low bit encode.

by the way, there is a lot of good HD content already playable on the appletv, so I have seen it. 720P trailers from apple play, but you have to download them yourself and put up, and HD podcasts, and anything HD you put on it. Looks great.

The big problem with 1080p or even i at this point will be the size of the file. X-Box does do it but I think Apple want to keep file sizes down (or at least that is what I read). I have been looking at the apple TV and think I am going to pick one up, only problem is I need to upgrade the wireless router to 802.11n so I can utilize the full speed capabilities of the ATV.

Mine is 802.11g, I am guessing the new update will have the N. G isn't good enough, I wired mine. N should be good enough.

The whole 3g just brings up a point that I would have thought it was since now apple will be going against there ways in that they always allow everything to be upgradeable.

Nope, new wireless cards were required to purchase. I wish it was true this way but it isn't.
