Perhaps you can answer this question for me. On the imac, and powerbooks there is an option to use the internet via bluetooth through your wireless provider's data network. I can acess it on my gf's mac via my razor's bluetooth, but I dont' have the data network. What I'm wondering is this possible on the iphone with the imac? if it is I'm swithing over to att this weekend. Just wondering if you could help me out.

    Thanks.
Well, in the past, I have used my Razr V3i, and I can use the BT connection to get on the internet with my mac, any of my macs. Not very fast on the EDGE network, but it works. Like I could SSH into servers and terminal was fine. Internet with images slower.

On the iphone, I have never had the need. I go out of town now, and I leave my mac book pro behind. I can do all I need on the iphone alone. What do you need to do on the imac, you can't do on the iphone over the net?

Sounds like the iPhone is the best of three worlds for you...

Desktop/Laptop computer, phone, and now a camera when you forget yours at home. Don't start to make home movies with that thing now. I can see your brain turning with that idea... j/k

Glad to see that someone is using it for what is should be used for. Too many people want the latest and greatest and don't use everything to take advantage of it.

I figured as much, that I can use it all. I used it last night at the store and WOW, it is pretty slick and the edge is pretty fast for a phone. I logged onto tige owners, and was amazed.

          Pretty darn cool

Y, I did try last night to pair with my mac, and see if I could get on the net with it. And it doesn't seem so. Which on one hand surprises me, that I could do on my RAZR and not on the iPhone. Yet, on the other hand, I have had it for a while, and haven't had the need to use my mac through it.

The only issue I REALLY needed was to have SSH to my servers through it. But I found this, and so it works:

And the iphone has become so popular, just about anything you would need, there is a solution for it.

              DEF!

I thought I would prove my point. If I can type successfully on my iphone with these mitts, I would say anyone can. I took some pictures, with the iphone of course, and used some objects to give it scale.

Now, please, if others decide to compare, lets keep this confined to HANDS. I don't want to be responsible for others comparing size with OTHER body parts. ;-)

(Where DID I put that wide angle lense?) he he

You have to have a problem with that keyboard. OMG!!!!! Now those are some big fingers.

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

Fortunately, Palm was similar. I was using pssh for the same. I had even used a remote desktop app a few times to assist the wife with whatever while I was away. Those come in handy. Any remote desktop or tightvnc-like programs for it yet?

There is a software unlock also. But no one is releasing to public, fearing lawsuits.
