ok, so back on topic. iPhone came today. Dude. This is first, the MOST AMAZING ipod I have ever used, and I have had each of every generation. The screen and user interface is amazing. My photos and the interface for the photos, AMAZING. The calls are as good as my RAZR V3i, my plantronice v510 BT headset works great with it. It is beautiful, and you will never want another phone after using it. I am an apple geek, and I am totally overwhelmed by it, it is never going to leave my side, because now I can manage everything I need and monitor my servers from anywhere.

My wife didn't want one. She was just playing with the calandar and the photos and stuff. She also made a couple of calls. She is now on the phone to the local ATT store to see if they have any in stock, she can't even wait for it to be shipped.

Before you make an opinion, put one in your hand and use it, its amazing.

They come in 4gb or 8gb versions. You can fill the space with any mixture of songs, photos, video.

my question for you, as you and my step bro both LOVE the phone is this. Both you and him live in MAJOR cell carrier cities. Have you taken it out on the road or into the not so populated regions? Before I buy one I have to make sure that old technology will work where I'm going. I know my v3 works, but will it work? I hear the net is slow, since it's using the edge, so I think I may wait till they come out with one using the newer net software, but who knows.

I believe you live in a more MAJOR area than I do. I live in the mountains. Look at zip 95954 in the coverage maps. I am mostly out of cities and in remote areas. I can tell you it works BETTER than my RAZR v3i as far as data transfer and signal. I was in Red Bluff yesterday and was using the ATT Edge connection to get maps and directions, and I was VERY surprised at how snappy it was. The google maps came up VERY quick. Now, they will probably slow WAY down with the satellite images. I was also able to use email very well over edge. You notice edges slowness when you try to surf normal image laden websites over edge. Its not very good for that.
