Europe has unlocked phones, because a court mandated it, and I believe they are much more expensive.

You would be best off getting one here, and jailbreaking it. If the firmware is 1.1.2, jailbreaking is kindof a pain, but once its done, easy to install what you need to unlock. Mine is jailbroken but I didn't unlock it, I am on ATT. But I have been using a hacked phone for months. At first some of the software was a bit shaky, but its all pretty darn stable now. Just don't install anything your not sure of.

This just came out this am, looks like they aren't offering the unlocked in europe anymore, and when they did, it was like $1600.

Hope you get a 1.1.1 phone, super easy. The process for 1.1.2 is not as fun.

no, you would have to open, and go to about in settings. To jailbreak, you have to downgrade it to 1.1.1, then jailbreak, and its kindof a pain.

With 1.1.1, you use the iphone and go to http://jailbreakme.com and click something and watch the magic, thats it. With 1.1.2, you have to do this:

Look at that thing, it looks like a fricking mutant laptop. 2 things, 1. Sexy column should have counted as 2 due to the buttugliness of that LG. 2. If they allowed 3rd party apps on iphone, it would have also swung the features.

I was at a concert last night, took my kids to see NorthernState and Tegan and Sara. It was great, but I have 2 clients, one in particular, that didn't listen to me about increased xmas traffic. Servers were going nuts and overloading from like 4pm til 10pm. I was able to still go to the concert, monitor each server easily, and perform any tweaks or resets, all with my iphone. In the past, I would've had to leave, and at least got out a laptop and connect through my RAZR. I had all I needed in my iphone, and the worst, A few times when all were standing, I had to sit in my chair to take care of stuff.

Great job ragboy. It's great to find products that are smaller and able to do as much or more than a laptop.
