Building a Kids Playset

Whatever you do, don't do wood mulch. That's how my son nearly lost his life. He fell backwards hanging from a 7' monkey bar onto wood mulch, a fall of less than 6'. I think you've seen the pictures, but if not, I can PM them to you.

Sand is ok, but pea gravel is the best option.

oh yeah, I've seen them.....not that I want to see them again!

Make sure you install the sprinkler system on all floors just in case a fire breaks out or you decide to reenact "Burning Man".

Ok, so I think I am gonna build this monster myself, I've decided to start small though, or I will have it being a 10 story behemoth before I know it.

Oh my 3 year old will "help" alright. If this goes like my typical projects he will learn a few new words too!

No, it won't be done until you are packed up and headed back to STL! Maybe next year though.


I might need to make it kind of nice though, since I may be living in it soon.

My 3 yr old son walked up to his Grandmother the other day and said "Grandma, guess what" and let a big fart rip. Needless to say my wife is not happy about that. I don't know why I get the blame for teaching him that though

My wife taught him A$$. She offhandly mentioned that someone she knows was being an A$$, and he repeated that word for about 6 days. I didn't get in trouble for that one!
