On a side note..... it's pretty damn nice filling up this Ford Focus rental for only $30.

Hell, the gas I'm saving, is going to pay for my deductible! HAHA.

Hmmmm, I wonder how bad this thing would squat w/ my 24V attached!

I think it would fall to pieces or just pop the tires
It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

        Tanner,

I work for a competitor in the insurance industry and am very shocked. Does your truck have a water line in it? how high did the water actually go?
The good thing on if they fix it at thier sercive first is they probably give you a lifetime warranty.....in other words..they are married to it...bad part for you is you will have to keep taking it back.
Did they do a couple of oil changes thru it yet to make sure no h2o in oil?
did anyone check the gas for h20? Is h2o in your lights?
Check up under your dash for rusting or debris (liek grass?) Are your seats power? anyone test them....water on floor was it up to seat? Has anyone cracked your truck over yet?
Did they check in airfilter for water or debris?

Well, you should be ok as far as the engine goes. I wouldn't worry about rust inside the engine since it seems that it stayed pretty dry and was probably well lubed.

Your right... they did tell me that the service comes w/ a lifetime warranty. Which that doesn't matter to me much as the truck was/is about to get traded in... unfortunately.

As for the oil, so far, two oil changes. I don't know about the gas, honestly (thanks for that advice!... didn't think of that one). I haven't been out to totally check it out just yet. But I know for sure it was in the headlights. The power seats seem to work just fine so far, but they are taking them out and checking all the wiring to be safe. Although, they have to pull them anyways, to replace the carpet.

They replaced the air filter, and checked the intake tube for water.

This thing is still dragging out... BLAH!

Wow, sounds like someone might be switching insurance companies when this is all over with. The time and effort the adjuster is spending to fix this truck will soon overwhelm what it would have cost to just total it. Keep up the good fight and don't accept anything less then what you expect.
