    Season delayed - broken arm

My son broke his arm just above his wrist while riding his motorcycle over the weekend. He was following me up a trail and going a bit too fast, the trail at the top suddenly turned and he tried to turn but the front wheel slid out.

Have any of you wakeboarded with a broken arm and waterproof cast?

Sorry to hear that. I never know which one is more rewarding, riding my dirt bikes through the woods, or surfing behind my boat.

I hope your son likes to surf, because you don't need to two hands to get up.

oh man that sucks i feel for him. you know i didnt wake board with it but i did ride my motorcycle hard. i even hit freestyle ramps with it on. as long as he isnt hurting to bad he will be fine. i even cut out the part that wraps around between the thumb and the rest of your fingers and that made it nice. i loved my water proof cast though. way better than the other ones ive had. i went swimming took showers got it dirty and it was sweet, as far as casts go. how long till he gets it off. was it his growth plate??

Sorry to hear that about your son Moki.

How old is he? Is this the time to teach him to drive, and let the old man ride?

Sorry to hear about your son's broken arm MOKI.

Check with dog, he has a picture with his son wearing one while surfing.

Nuck N Futs, fortunately, he does like to wakesurf. He also wants to get back on his bike and get a faster one.

LakeTime, he doesn't get his cast until tomorrow, but it looks like from the xrays that it is above the growth plates.

Tequilasun, He is 14 years old, that is not a bad idea!

Sparky, we have to take advantage of every warm day!

TeamAllen, I am going to search the forum for those postings.

Thanks for everybody's comments - I am just glad that it wasn't more serious.

glad its not to serius. are you doing a water proof one for sure? it cost us 25 dollars extra but well worth it. i'll bet it will heel fast. both of my arm breaks were groth plates and healed super fast. cant say the same for my leg though. stay away from that!
