Mine was a 74 vega wagon, What a ride! I soon donated it to charity. Then got to move up to a 69 Toyato Land Cruser, went through two motors and rolled it twice, I still wish I had it. Now everything I own is in to new of condition to really have any fun. Oh if I could be a young again..... Nah being an old kid has its perks.

This is the beauty that I drove when I was 16 that we inherited from my Grandma. It had a steering wheel that was shaped like a TV. The vents moved back and forth automatically and it has push buttons on the dash to shift the automatic transmission into Park, Drive, Drive Low, Neutral, and Reverse. It was a real babe magnetAttached Files

I think I have everyone beat. My first ride was a 1974 AMC Gremlin, Levis edition. Cost me $700 cash...came home one night and it was parked on our front lawn. Parents' friend was selling it, and they thought I might like it. Had the little Levis logo sticker on the front fenders. Original owner installed fake sidepipes on it. Sky blue (almost lavender) in color, with denim upholstery on the seating surfaces. And let me tell you, those damn little copper buttons got HOT during the summer! Driver's door striker post was eventually broken off, so I had the door closed with a Stanley gate hasp and a ratchet extension. AM radio, aftermarket FM head that played thru the AM was installed, and a cheap-o cassette player rigged to the system. Right front spring mount was broken, so the car listed to the right. I put over 100K miles on that thing, and it was easily repairable when it finally died, but it was a great excuse to get a new car in 1985. I had fixed the springs, a new exhaust system, and painted the grille too....scrapper who bought it said it started right up as he drove it off the tow truck and into the scrap yard. Ah, the memories....lost my virginity in the backseat of that thing. And it wasn't easy! Well, she was...but that's another story...

Gotta love the AMC's! My old neighbor had an AMC Pacer when he moved in that he inherited from his grandma. Remember those? The rolling fishbowl! We used to tease the crap out of him everytime he drove it, it was kind of a salmon color, gross a hell!"Call me anything you want ... Just don't call me NOBODY!

They're more popular since Wayne's World...reminds me of the article I read many years about about racing Ford Pintos. There was a whole sport about driving those things at 120 Mph:

Oh crap thread has me just laughing out loud! Talk about some hideous cars.
Mine was called the Red Ryder. It was a Red 1988 Chevy s-10 single cab. It had the long bed and that sucker had a longgggg bed, it was almost like a pier.
The driver door had a big dent in it that would rub against the frame when I opened it up. So every time I got out of the truck it made a loud grinding metal noise, almost like a “Grunt”. It was quite embarrassing especially when I would go to girls’ houses or parties. On dates I had to borrow my dads or brothers truck.
