    dom,

If gas reaches 4 dollars, I believe I'll be selling my boat and picking up another hobby. Not sure, but probably. Guess I'll just see when it happens.

    what??????
sell your boat because of gas...that is the time you should take advantage all the wally's will be off the lake and it will be glass time.

We've seen the gas prices hike from $2.00/gal to $2.50/gal in the past week, and although our rates are so much lower here in the midwest - the hike in price still hurts, especially with summer coming on.

What octane/grade does everyone run in their Tige? Being in the cornbelt, 10% Ethanol blend, 89 octane is always the cheapest here. The funny part is, our city is the largest corn processor in the world (for everything, not just ethanol) - and we only have one E85 (85% Ethanol blend) pump here - needless to say, its not worth it for the people who can use it.

We all cry about 2.50 for a gallon of gas, but I'm sure most on this thread drink $3 coffees at Starbucks and don't flinch at $1-$2 bottles of water.

          I'm sure guilty......

Don't know how much fuel wuill have to get for me to sell my boat. The biggest effect for me is tow fuel, not so much boat fuel.

Really! Just think of the alternatives...how could you possibly have more fun than $100 worth of boat gas doing something else that lasts all day or all weekend?

If you have to drive that far to get out on your Tige, I feel for you. I'd move!

As true as that may be.....I fill up on coffee and water in ounces......my truck fills up on gas in gallons! 26 of them to be exact.

I believe my congressman got a wrath of angry keying this morning.

I sent letters to every congressman/representative that our area elected about the gas prices. I was fuming while I wrote them, I had to have someone at work edit them to make them sound less harsh.

I am glad towing isn't more than 15 miles for me. That's why the trucks never get driven during the week and it's commuting on the motorcycle for me. $8 a week for gas with a 50 mile round trip is more money for the boat gas.

Had to pay 3.10 this morning. It was 2.60 only 2 weeks ago. What a ripoff.

4pm tueday, shell gas was $3.03 87octane. 3:30am wednesday, shell went up to $3.09 87octane. I think 91octane was $3.25! It's a sad sad saaad day when I'm more excited to drive my 113hp civic than my 505hp Z06.
I don't know how you boat owners budget in the fuel costs. at least us SoCal people that have to drive 250 miles one-way to get a little river action.
