In Saudi Arabia gasoline costs about 45 cents a gallon. In Iran it's 33. Venezuelans pay under a quarter.!!!!!!!!!Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

evilOne, thanks for the links. Those are great and I can see that the gas stations by my house are $.18 more than ones that are 5+ miles away.

Last year people said we will never see gas under $2.00 again now I don't think we will ever see gas go under $3.00 again, not when gas is $4.33 and still going up. Why would the gas co. not want to make more money if we have to pay it.....Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Red Diesel is for off-road vehicles only (mainly farm equipment). It's not taxed, and therefore quite a bit cheaper.
As far as using it in your boat.... you know... I seriously never thought of that. But Probably! You could make a serious argument. I don't know how that would work.
Let me make a correction and say that "Red Diesel" is not really tax free... it's just not taxed as heavily.Last edited by Tanner; 05-08-2007, 08:29 PM.Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

Hmmmm, interesting.
I know some people who just fill up w/ their company card and write off the boat gas as part of their trucks fuel usage... dont know who would be shameless enough to do that.Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... But then why is gas on the water still more expensive?
1) Supply and Demand. They have it, you want it so they charge you for the "convience"
2) It costs more to take it there, as well as dispense it there. They have to have more safety features to keep the gas off the water and what not.
Make sense zad? There is other stuff too, but that's the down and dirty.Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!
