Back on track now... So that makes complete sense that the price of gas is too high in OR.... To make you feel better, the gas prices are not much better down here in CA either.

    How's that.....

Da.bell. Harsh....but not delete the post harsh! I was giving you a hard time.

24% of OK is forests? The trees must be like bonsai trees or something. Seriously birds are dropping out of the sky, dead, there's no place to land in OK (stolen from a comedian)

But Oregon, who would want to live in Oregon? What do you have there besides logging road accidents and hippies? I guess Microsoft is trying to change that, but then again.....you have Microsoft too.....

It's easy to pick on any state, some just make it easier....aheem Texas! or Arkansas...California for that matter!

I take no offense though b/c I live in Misery!

We do get the offroad use tax refund on fuel though, so that's cool! (attempted back on topic)

Microsoft Headquarters is located in Redmond, Washington.

Taxes on gas.... CA has one of the highest taxes on gas in the nation. I would guess Oregon is the first. When the news states that the average price per gallon is $$$.$$, California is about $.20 higher. It sucks but that is the price you pay for living in a state that people find attractive to live in...

Well, if it make you feel better, I am sure there is probably a suboffice in Salem, OR.... But, I am sure they will need to spend money on gas to get from Redmond to Salem....

            See, pack on topic..

LMAO... I figured you were in lawton when you said you were stationed here. That's probably one of the worst areas you could possibly be here!

Good god, what did I start? I have steered this thread towards OK instead of gas...lol. Of course, since we are an Oil & Gas state I guess technically we're still on track

Western half of the state is bare, and the easter half is pretty thick forests & "mountains" ... well our version of mountains...more like tall hills...lol.

Trees? What trees? I don't see no stinkin trees

Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

You know what's really funny about calif. and it's gas prices is the fact that they have so many refineries.

Kind of half to w/ all those "special blends". But the hippy liberals there are killing you all w/ the taxes . I'm sure it'll spread to all of us one day

Actually, what kills me is that CA said that we have to put MTB into the gas about 15 years ago. Now they are saying get rid of it because if causes ground contamination..... Then we have one of the strickest environmental laws in the nation..

Yes, I use to work with CalEPA for about 3 years...... The job was IT related but the office that I worked in monitored water quality..... It was nice because I could ask someone about a specific lake and they would tell me if the lake was okay to be in.... However, now I work for the U.S. Federal Government.....

yeah they have lots of refineries tanner, but they are so strict on the EPA stuff it's hard to make lots of money. Plus there are so many people out here that we really don't even make enough gas. ALSO!! the govt here knows that people need the gas, so they tax it anyway, cuz they know they will pay it!

                          TIGE M.D.,

I have thick skin, these guys won't bother me, trust me. Got a call from a friend of mine a few days ago. Says he saw gas in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles at 4.01 for 87 octane. This is really getting rediculous. Soon people will not be able to afford the drive to work

Your right. Heck I drive over 150/day going from house to house. And I have it easy. I know some of you californians drive an hour and a half each way to work. It's getting bad.

And the majority of us here on this page are already in the 1% of americans that pay 35% of the tax bill in the US. So we really only feel a small pinch to what some americans feel. It's gonna reach the point that it pays more to live on welfare than it does to drive to work.
