    Kansas City

Well , recieved a call Friday morning that one of my duplex's in Missouri had a fire. No one was hurt and property manager did not have much info. Called my insurance agent and they had clean up crews there pretty quick. Unit with the fire damage looks pretty bad, other unit has mostly water damage where all the cielings and some wall were basically blown away with the water.

So reshuffled the schedule to fly to Kansas City. Southern California boys don't do well in cold. Hopped on the plane it was 75 degrees. Landed in KC in shorts and flipflops and it was 17 degrees. Rent a car windows covered with ice- whats up with that? Oh well today is sunny here in the 50's

Meeting claims adjuster tomorrow and there recommended contractor. We will see how it goes. Might do a little gambling tonight at the local casinos.

I had to miss one of my daughter cheer competitions but they did very well, 1st place in divisiion and 1st overall.

17 degrees? Must have been a heat wave.

I am sorry to hear about your duplex. Hopefully, the insurance money will allow to repair and update-- think of it as getting a new duplex

Glad no one was hurt....material things can usually be fixed better than new. Nice to see you had the right type of insurance on the buildings...sounds like they have great customer service too....good luck!

Just got back from Kansas City. Fun Day, 3 sets of insurance adjusters and 2 contractors. Have to wait about a week for the estimates and then discuss some of my updates. Need to keep this mostly insurance. Preliminary estimates about 100K. Will try to post pics when I get back into town Thursday. Need some sleep as I am on a plane at 6 am. O boy another night of 4 1/2 hours sleep.

Here are a few pics. Not very good. These are from the unit that was not where the fire originated. I had more pictures but they came out like crap. Looks like a bad directv signal.
