    Weekend

Took another Rhino ride this weekend, Well over 100 vehicles. Had a great time. On the way over to the meeting area the wife and I stopped at Del Taco. While I was ordering my wife starting talking to some people. I went over and they were talking about there old cars. There was a 57 Chevy outside with an Air Chair sticker on the windshield. I asked if they had anything to do with air chair.

Turns out one of them was the inventor, owner, instructor. Very nice guy. They go out almost every weeekday when the water warms up. They asked if i ever tried it, I said no due to the cost. He let me know anytime i wanted to try one to stop buy his shop to borrow one or if i am there during the week they would take me out. Thats an offer I am going to take up.

Here is a picture of a few of the offroad vehicles from this weekend.

I have never seen a herd of Rhinos that big. It looks like a lot of fun! Never tried an air chair either. After seeing Lovin Powell's gash on his head, I don't know if I want to....Nah, I want to try it.

That was only a partial. That was the 1st stop. We left there before the herd so we could be one of the first ones at the marina to get a table and eat. Sucks getting there last as you will never get your food.

The air chair thing I am definately going to try. How hard can it be, all you have to do is sit down

Usually have to have one on the exhaust too......just depends on what holes you want to get in.

Rednecks and their toys, right.......Some of the guys out there have 6 inch lifts and 17" wheels on their quads.

I was wondering why it all had to be done under the cover of night!

Your pics take me back about 5 years when I still had my jeep, I had it outfitted with a snorkel.

Man I wish I still had that thing.

Use to cross that stuff on the dirt bikes. Where we ride now, the only water is in the lake. You need to lead or you are covered with dust.

Got out on my snowboard yesterday. It is DUMPING in the sierras right now. Bottomless powder everywhere. Went to Homewood and what takes me 1 1/2 hours in the summer to get to, took me 6 hours to get back from last night. 4 1/2 hours from Homewood to Truckee. It's not supposed to stop snowing until Tues/Wed.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

How much money do you have. Stock is about 41 due to the speed limiter. For $175 you can put in a new CDI which removes the speed limiter and you can go 45-47. For another $200 you can change the prmary clutch sheave and get about 52-53 (this is what I have done) and lower the rpm's. People say they can get 57 -58 mph but mine and my friends have the above mods and are pretty identical in speed.

After that speed gets more expensive. With the above you dont get any better acceleration just top speed. 52mph is good enough for us as we do not have that many wide open trails. Good for the street though riding to the offroad areas.

Miss the KTM 525 EXC. Top speed on that was way over 90 mph. But the sale of that bike made it possible to turn my 20V into the 24V and keep the family happy. As a side note it has also kept me out of the emergency room

well the low end, 41, is faster than I thought.

                              53 is pretty darn quick.

Do they have good get up and go, spin the tires on pavement, all that?

I may be in the market for something pretty soon, thinking about out-doing my neighbor's golf carts.
