    Hawaiian Friends

My family is from Hawaii and I have many friends from the islands I thought if you know anyone from Hawaii or have just a general intrest this is funny.

(for those who don't know - Haole originally meant "newcomer to the islands" - now it just means white person)

HAOLE FRIENDS: Never ask for food
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Are the reason you have no food.

HAOLE FRIENDS: Call your parents Mr. And Mrs.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Call your parents Aunty and Uncle.

HAOLE FRIENDS: Bail you out of jail and tell you what you did was wrong.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Would be sitting next to you saying, Damn...we screwed up...but that **** was fun!"

HAOLE FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry.
    HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Cry with you.

HAOLE FRIENDS: Borrow your stuff for a few days then give it back.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Keep your stuff so long they forget it's yours.

HAOLE FRIENDS: know a few things about you.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Could write a book with direct quotes from you.

HAOLE FRIENDS: Will leave you behind if that's what the crowd is doing.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Will call them out an then kick the whole crowd's *** that left you.

HAOLE FRIENDS: Would knock on your door.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Walk right in and say, "he wot get for eat!"

HAOLE FRIENDS: Will take your drink away when they think you've had enough.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Will look at you stumbling all over the place and say, "He, you better drink the rest of that, you know we don't waste!!"

HAOLEFRIENDS: Will talk crap to the person who talks crap about you.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Will knock the **** out of them!!

    HAOLE FRIENDS: Will ignore this.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Will send this to every Hawaiian friend that you cherish and love.

Hey Coach i'm dying laughing at this post! I can SOOO relate to this. Was in the islands for 2 1/2 years stationed at Schofield but we lived off base in Waipahu surrounded by locals. Once they got to know us there was no keeping 'em away! The kids would just stroll in the house at will and we were aunty and uncle to all of 'em The wife worked with all locals and after awhile she sounded just like 'em Damned if i could understand her half the time!

          Brudda Coach,
Just left the islands in 03, lot's of family there.....one question though

Haole, didn't that origionally mean souless person? The word haole meant "who-do-not-breathe". In fact, it was used to describe the dead. Sometimes with the truly physical meaning, other times in a more subtle spiritual sense. Often, the two perspectives were mixed together, such as to describe a ghost, or a god. Haole is used in two contextes, one is in passing...ie....that haole chick is hot....or two as a racist remark that f**king haole where it's being used as the word ni**er would be used on the mainland. It's a weird word that has in the past been used to describe all non-hawaiians but now is solely used for white people.....but I digress

if your hapa like me or kanaka maoli like you coach who cares eh??

Funny post Coach.....sorry for the hijack
