Does anyone think that NASCAR "went after" Toyota with the heavy fines and point penalties?
Why is "an unapproved addative" worse that holes in the body or improper deck lid attachment
the 24 took the 2nd duel 150Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

The 24 has not past post race inspect. wah-hoo
I bet: If they penalize the 24, it will not effect his start in the "500" or his points standing. NASCAR is so "rule of the day" and "make it up as we go along". the penalties just dont seem to fit the crimes.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Dom,
The track they are building by you is to replace Mesa Marin. It was located off of hwy 78. It was a great place to watch racing. For years the Chrafstman Truck series use to race there. They closed it down after the 05 season. I hope the new track has great racing. Cant wait for it to be finished

I don't feel NASCAR is "going after" Toyota. The fack that they had an oxidizer inside the manifold is a new one by NASCAR and pretty underhanded even by NASCAR standards. While I agree that the penalty was a bit harsh, at some point they need to make teams realize they are serious about cracking down on cheating. Every year the penalties get stiffer and stiffer, yet teams continue to come up with ways to cheat. Face it, $25k aint chit to these teams. Even 25 points is surmountable, but $100k, 100 points and life time suspension? You might want to think about your underhandedness a bit more. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Toyo has not taken thier first points race green flag and they are already in the hole it seems that there is some resentment (by other team owners) towards a "foreign" Co in the "great American sport" (even though the Camery is the only one made in the US I think)
Which is more dangerous: an oxygenator in the engine to inhance performance, holes in the body that might let in CO, or a "faulty" shock mount that may fail and cause a wreck.
I dont think crap in the intake was worth 100 pts compared to the 24 going to the back for a shock violation ( which NASCAR will throw an early caution for "debris" and get him back up front).Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

"fair" is probably not the best term to use. But if NASCAR can have rules like
Rule # 164.983-C, part 24.4, line 12
Then they should be able to be a little more specific about the punishment before hand. instead of making up the penalties/fines as they go along
Exampl: all sefety violations should be delt with harshly pre or post race.
If you find a performance violation pre race/qualifing, make them start at the back or not start if they dont have a Champ Prev.
IF found post race, knock them to last, take some points and etc.
I just think the punishment needs to fit the crime, regardless of who your sponser is, team owner, or how many seats your ugly mug fill on race day.
