    Stiletto?

I have Sirius in the truck and bought the SIR-CL3 that plugs directly into the Clarion unit in the boat but I'm thinking I might rather have the Stiletto. That way I can take it to the gym with me and then plug it into the boat. I'm also trying to decide whether or not I would need the car/home kits. In the boat I I could just use the headphone jack to stereo input but I wouldn't be getting a charge. Anyone have any experience with one?

The one I am looking at is HERE on eBay.

evilone, I dont' think you can transfer your stored music off the stiletto, I have been searching around for the answer to that question myself. Just so you know.

I've been using the Starmate for a year or so. It's basic but works.

I love having my home docking station. The antenna was a pain in the rump to get set up though, since we don't have repeaters in my area.

I'm just not sure how I would use it. I know I wouldn't use it at home and at work I could do the internet stream. But, it might be nice to record stuff to listen to at the gym. I guess my options are, buy the Stiletto or buy an iPod and keep the CL3 in the boat.

I love the Starmate's and Sportsters. The rewind and game alerts are great. Built-in units for cars don't get those features.

I agree with you, the big draw when the Stiletto was in the works was that you'd be able to record in MP3, then transfer to computer. Obviously with copyright issues, sirius isn't going to allow that. That's the main reason I haven't changed over either.

I use my starmate in the boat by using the FM modulator, and honestly it's the reason we got Sirius. We boat during football season, and missing the games due to poor radio reception on the lake was out of the question (my wifes words exactly).

I don't know that recorded sirius is worth anything, the music is so diverse, I can't imagine when I would need a block of it, like you said, at the gym, but if you have an ipod, it does make it almost useless. I'm getting around to integrating my ipod into daily life, but I don't like having it in the Truck. I prefer to listen to talk radio, sports, npr that sort of thing while driving.
