I didn't get the chance to meet him, but my buddies say he was a stand up guy. I think he's slated to run dirt track in Bolivar, at least once next year.

I think he can drive whatever he sets his mind too.

ITA.. His 'bull in a china shop' driving style is fitting in Cup racing. He is equally at home in open wheeled cars that require finess. He, like Sabi Loeb, has a gift to run anything with 4 wheels real fast.

Dakar is a manly race. I catch a little on vs as well. Trophy truck desert racing would have to be thrown in there as well. Walker Evans and Ivan Stewart are still studs. 18 hours in a trophy truck with little more than some gatorade and a relief tube gotta be tough. Pikes Peak hill climb as well. Try tuning a carb to run from 6500 feet to 12,000 feet. I guess there is more to the world of motor sports than NASCAR. You just have to dig through Speed and VS. to find it. Where did WRC on speed go anyway??

I thought for sure a little NASCAR bashing would incite a more impassioned response. I guess most of the NASCAR fans are on the Bayliner and BassTracker sites.

AIR RALEY: The rider hits the wake and allows their body to swing backwards, up overhead, parallel to the water. The rider then swings the board and his or her body down and lands on the other side of the wake.
FAKIE or SWITCH: The rider rides the board with their weak foot forward (opposite of their normal stance,i.e. left foot or right foot forward).
AIR KRYPT: The same as an air raley, except that the rider lands in a switch stance position.
SWITCH AIR RALEY: The rider starts and ends an air raley in the switch position.
BUTTER SLIDE: A rider approaches the wake, "snaps" the board sideways so that they can slide on top of the wake.
SURFACE 360: A rider spins the board 360 degrees while riding the surface of the water.
TANTRUM: A rider back flips over the wake on an axis perpendicular to the direction of the board.
BACKROLL: A rider back flips (or rolls) over the wake on an axis parallel to the direction of the board.
FRONTROLL: A rider flips forward (or rolls) over the wake on an axis parallel to the direction of the board.
BOARDSLIDE: A rider approaches an obstacle and slides the board along the obstacle.
HALF-CAB: when doing a trick from your switch stance and landing it with your regular stance
