so is any tequilla that is "agave" a good quality if I recal correctly? Tequilla is one liquor I have not ventured into very far, and kind of want to. Is it something you just sip, over ice?

Agave is the plant that tequila is made from..all tequilas. Some are 100%, some are blends of Agave, and sweeteners or coloring agents.

In general 100% Agave is better than the blends, but that's a matter of taste really. I think there are some blends that are pretty good.

Anejo is the type of Tequila you want if you are going to sip it over ice. This is aged Tequila, usually 2 or more years, aged in White Oak barrels. The oak imparts color, and a mellowness to the Tequila that is not found in "Steel Vat" tequilas (Whites, silvers)

Anejo is kind of like the Single Malt Scotch of the Tequila World. There are some that are really good, some that aren't so good, and some premium ones that bring a high dollar.

So a friend of mine brings along one of those gas powered blender thingies to whip the drink of choice after the day is done on the lake. The only problem is by the time they've figured out who wants what and such i've already downed a couple of brews and am in search of another!

ha ha ha, I have thought about looking into one of those, but if I get a battery bank, I think an inverter would be cheaper with just a regular blender.

those blenders are pretty cool but man they are loud. I'd rather just drink the drink on the rocks then mess with that thing.

I have never seen one but they look cool. Guys on an x80 have a 110 plug and just use a blender. Those boats are so big and stuff.
