Espy jumps back in the mix Esperanza should move back into the top 4-5 in OC with a huge win over Edison on the road. Espy ran at will (Neal went for 200+), shut down Vinson and White and just hammered Edison 38-0. Espy's D was awesome with about 7 sacks, a safety and pressure on Crissman all night. Coach Kemp got a well deserved "Gatorade shower" for his defensive gameplan tonight. Espy has been getting beat up for the last week on this site, and they were all but written off as a top team and contender for the Sunset league title and beyond. This game takes some of the sting out of the NHHS game and puts Espy right in the middle of the Sunset league title chase.It's a great night for our boys. And it's a great night to be an Aztec parent.

We got back in the win column this last week. The kids played beyond our expectations and we won 38-0. I couldn't have dreamed up this kind of game. We are now 6-1, 1-1 in league play and have a great chance of winning league if we win our last 3 games. The game was on Fox West Prime Ticket 653 direct TV. If you want to see it catch a replay of it this week.
This next week we are at home finally (we only have 4 home games this year). We are playing Fountain Valley who is 5-2 and 1-1 in league as well. They are much improved from a year ago and if we don't bring our A game we can be beat.Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

Saturday we won 30-14. It was an ugly win for us but a win none the less. We were very flat after being sky high the week before.
We are now 7-1 and play Los Al this week. This is our rivally game and it is also for the League Championship. If we win we should be 4-1 in league and 9-1 overall and win league. If we lose then we should end up 3-2 in league and 8-2 overall and end up a 2nd or 3rd place team.Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

Thanks! It was a great win for us. We were very slop on O tonight. We should have scored about 28-34 pts, but fumbles and inablity to score in the red zone killed us. I was a bit scared at first when Los Al drove the field on us and scored right out of the gate. I was able to make a few adjustments and chew some asses and we played much better for the rest of the game.Originally posted by TeamAllen

We have completed our regular season at 9-1 and Sunset League Champions. We are the #4 seed in the Pac 5 CIF Division (the toughest in the state). We are playing Compton High this next Friday. We played Compton in the first round last year. They run a bastard offense and it will be a very physical game for us.Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.
