Nickey, when i do go into the office it's on the old Castle Air Force Base in Atwater, CA. There's a guy that actually has an entire B-52 hanger devoted to his aircraft. There seems to be many in there in phases of restoration but the ones flys regularly include:

• P-51D (european theater paint scheme)

• F-86 Saber Jet

• Soviet YAK-3

• Soviet MIG-23

• He has another i think is a Mirage F1 but not sure

As the airfield is only a short distance (1/4 mile) from the office i can hear them taking off. This guy puts on a hell of a show! FAA rules state he can only fly them in something like a 50 mile radius so you watch the whole show. When he takes out the MIG-23 he'll fly just shy of mach right on the deck and pull vertical right over the airfield going into afterburner

Radical! There are several cool aircraft out at Stead Field (home of the Air Races) including several Mig 15's that they chase each other around in. How fun would that be?

Killer! I'll show you the finer points of the Air Race expierience. Of coarse you will the automatic in with your boy once inside, but I can definately hook you up on the outside. From to where to grub to the backway in (no traffic) to where to watch the races from that will get you hooked for life. I'm just slightly obsessed.

Hope his plane if fixed and he still feels up to it....scared him real bad, which sucks b/c he is a trip 7 capt for AA, and fighter pilot for Marines, none of that bothers him but this racing thing he may reconsider, I hope not b/c he loves it but we shall see....either way he and my dad will be there and possibly me and my brother

Ya, IMO, Air Racing is by far and away the most dangerous sport on the planet. Many a pilot have been through a seriously scary moment and hung it up right then and there. The thing is, it's so damn cool that it becomes an addiction for most. The ultimate double edged sword. Air Race fans will support him either way.

Sweet...the only thing I love more than being on the lake.....well the third thing I love more than being on the lake is on the Mountain carving on some fresh powder. No more vacations for me untill Lake Shasta in June....I got a brief 4 day excursion with the wife in Vegas in Feb but that doesn't count cause there is work involved. Have fun bro!!!!

I couldn't have said it better. Last year we had waist deep powder on the last day. We are hoping for good snow again this year. From the looks of your pics, it looks like you had nothing to complain about.

Underwater Digi

After buying way to many over-priced disposable waterproof cameras, I decided to get an underwater digital.

The biggest factor was that you cant find a one-time-use with a flash, so your under water pics come out only...ok. Also, when you have the 35mm image put on disk, they cut the file size so small, that they look like crap when you look at them on the PC or print them your self.

Next is price. These disposables cost about $12.00 and we may use 2 to 4 per vacation depending on how much we are in the water.

In addition to my Digital Rebel, I still have my 3.1 Megapixel Kodak Easyshare. We still use it quite a bit because it's small, easy to use and actually does a pretty darn good job of video for those moments where still images are not enough. It's not waterproof, but it's taken a beating and I usually have it on the boat just in case.

I'm up to 3 digi's now plus my 35mm rebel that I will not part with for anything.

I could not find a waterproof case for the Canon digi zoom or the little point and shoot, so the only thing to do was buy a new camera

Well i went out last Saturday and picked me up a new Canon A630 8 megapix digi camera. This think is unbeliveable, auto or manual, burst shot mode, ccd screen flips out and rotates like a camcorder, interchangeable lenses, movies that look awesome, 500 shots on one set of nimh bats and all for $212!! You can even get a waterproof case good to around 130 meters for about $250 Circuit City had it on sale Saturday but it's back up to $250 now. Here's a shot from my grandsons birthday last night except to resize, untouched with no changes.
