Should (always) be right next to the sink! That makes the job much easier.

If there was no dishwasher there and you are not comfortable with plumbing, get someone else to do it... If you are comfortable with plumbing, it is a real snap to do.

I would put the disposal in as part of the dishwasher install... will make the for a much easier/cheaper in the long run process!
