I am debating on adding an EQ to my stereo on my boat. It sounds good now but wonder if it would sound better with the EQ.... Phil????

Careful use of EQ can correct for minor deficiencies, and can cater to personal taste. I like having them available.

That being said, EQ should nto be used to correct for gross system efficiencies, i.e not enough or absent subwoofer(s) or lack of or blown tweeters... EQ's can be real power-sponges!

Know that t is easier to get one adjusted poorly than adjusted "correctly", (there is really no correct).

Finally, if you have frequency response "holes" due to out-of-phase conditions, there is no way to use an EQ to fix them.

Other than all of these ptifalls they are great!
