Sacramento-area's average gas price inched up another penny to a record Monday -- and within a dime of the $4 per-gallon mark.

The region's average gas price reached $3.90 early Monday. a 29-cents increase from a month ago -- and 57 cents more from the $3.33 a year ago, according to AAA. Californians, and Sacramentans, are enduring daily record-setting prices at the pump, increasing to $3.905 on Monday.

But those are inflated prices since they have about 5 refineries there. Logically you would think the price in San Fran would be cheaper because of this.

They are in the Martinez area just east of San Francisco and Oakland but in the bay area none the less.
