yep because like XP said you will be sucking air when the water level gets lower the the pump.

A couple of months ago I was offered a promotion in Houston with my company to make tons more, but the wife would not move out of Utah.

The pumps we got do not stop the water from slowly draining. We are trying to figure a best way to prevent that.

So if I put a check valve on the vent hose and the pump higher than the bags, would that solve the problem?

IMO, yes.. You will have one hole for the water to come into the boat (in the hull) and another hole for the water to exit (near the rub rail).

That is what I have heard on WW... But since I don't have a ballast puppy, I couldn't tell you for sure.
