    Here is my idea:

I am not going to attach the legs of the board completely. I will use the carpet to make the board attached to the legs, but still give the legs flexibility to move.

I will attach some Velcro to the legs to keep it in place and if I need to move it up or down a little I can still do it without having to re-do the legs

On my RZ2, I notice that the walls of the compartment gets wider as it goes up. Some how I need to change the dimensions of the board as the height or position change.

I assume the most of the time it will stay at 12" from the floor. But if I need it to lower to use more space in the compartment the idea is to move it down without too much trouble.

I would make it 15 or 18 inches off the floor. That sac is not going to be rectagular after you fill it with water.

The sack are long and goes under the side compartments and they are about 12" tall. I was just going to make it the same height.

The back compartment is about 31" and the sacks are 65" long. It should completely fill the compartment to the shape of it, right?

Actually the side dimensions is a little smaller than the sack I order. I was thinking of the same issue when I ordered, that's why I order a little bigger, so it will have enough to fill the entire compartment.

But you are probably right, it will never fill the compartment completely.

The thing is that the back compartment is only 22" tall. and I want to leave about 10 to 11" for storage.

Add some ballast and 2 more mph and you can surf behind it too...

                          j/k

Well, I am not sure on that yet. All we are storing back that will be life jackets. About 15 of them.
