Very ironic statement that one there.....

And ironically, it is a correct one.

    Too funny....

Yes it is. I went wine tasting on Saturday. Had a great time. The only problem was that I lost 11 lbs total on my diet on Saturday only to gain 2.5 lbs back after the wine tasting. But I did find out that I can't revert back to my old lifestyle of eating if I want to lose weight. oh well, I know now.

Make an effort to eat right only to find out that you are not eating the way you need to eat. However, I was disappointed that I gained weight, I am not upset. It does provide proof that I can not do that unless I want to suffer for it later.

Are you exercising or just dieting?

Just dieting and when I have a chance, I am doing a 20 minute walk. Last week, I only walked one time.

It's a diet like Atkins but the proportions are half of what he has with some supplements that you also take. It's: http://www.ultralite.com.au/index.php

If you threw in 3, 30 min workouts then perhaps having some wine wouldn't hurt you so much. Building muscle, which burns calories, which increases metabolism is truely the best way to lose weight and keep it off for good. Diets alone are real tough to keep weight off long term.

I wish I for sure could say both... Explanation:

I am going to the gym, about every evening... Resistance/weight training 3x a week, and about 30 minutes of cardio roughly 5x a week.

On the diet side, my GF and I are in a biggest loser competition of sorts. We are trying to go by Weight Watchers guidelines, but I have been a poor counter of points.

I personally have a problem with philosophies about fat being bad as it relates to weight loss. My thoughts are simple: You take in more calories than you burn, you gain weight. You take in less calories than you burn, you lose weight.

I do have a need to control my cholesterol, and fat intake can affect that a great deal, but fat in food does not make fat on body, food in food makes fat on body.

                          Does that make sense?

Perhaps if you hit the gym, you too could have a body like this.....lol

For the record, I drink more wine and beer than I should.

Gotta deal with that... Somehow that does not involve elimination of those two wonderful vices...

I agree but from what I understand. This diet is trying to change the digestive track to perform better. But, that is from what I understand. I'll see but I can say that I am eating a lot less food now adays and not hungry afterwards.
