      My parents used to have a condo in Bullhead City with a dock. You can go all the way from the bottom of mojave to CLOSE to the hoover dam. Year ago, before 911, you could get to where you could see it. Now, they don't let you close enough to see it well. The trip is still beautiful though. The water is shallow the closer you get, and even starts to have some rapids, so you have to be careful.

      I have also gone from bullhead city on the river, all the way into havasu. Its a LONG trip, and it can get REALLY hairy. Only attempt when water is HIGH. I have done it when low, in a cheap outboard, and had to get out and carry the boat almost in places, and the return trip is 2x as long because of the current. When the water is high, its not so bad, but you have to KNOW the river, and be careful.
