I guess that does not mean a lot.

Don't remember noticing if Tahoe does, but in alot of "snowy" states most of the utilities are buried so power loss is rare.

Hope all of our Reno folks are ok after the levee broke. Miserable situation

Looks like everyone is ok, but a heck of a lot of property damage had to occur.

I just dumped my flood insurance in July, now I may rethink that $250 policy after all. Perhaps it's worth it.............

If there is any way possible that rising water could enter your house, it is worth it.

Is that $250 a year??? that is cheap

Yea $248.XX a year, we lived in a Federal Flood Zone (on a creek/river) and it flooded often but never crested to our house. When we moved to our new house on top of a hill I kept the same policy. I am insured with Country Ins, yet our flood insurance was through Hartford ( I don't know why). So anyway there is a slim to no percent chance that my new house will flood, but I guess you never know. Perhaps peace of mind is priceless???

you know we had a condo in Maui right on S. Kihei Rd that was in a flood zone and we paid less than $200 for flood insurance on the Condo. At that time I was insured with State Farm and if I remember correctly I also paid Hartford for that flood ins.
