So, based on what I just read elsewhere, do I need to start making it a point to share something meaningful when I post here?

I guess I am just thinking that since everyobdy knows me and my profession, I do not want to irritate Matt with my posts here.

I also would not want it to cause any problem with my ability to sell and service both Tige and you fine gents.

no it's just there are two people here that pretty much voice their opinions. People that care about this thread and people that think post numbers are a big deal. There was some heat and some people mad before you got on about people running their numbers up and what not. People got mad that they were no longer the high poster or that I was padding my post count. To most of us it doesn't matter. but we were also really bad about jacking threads. Matt doesn't see the point in this thread, but then I wouldn't either if I didn't read it everyday as there is too much stuff to read up on and most of it is BS I agree, however chpthril made a very valid point, this is just the coffee room or water cooler of the site. It happens everywhere, so as long as we keep it here matt will let it stay open.

i mean reset the counts, or take them off I could care less. I"m still going to post here and talk to you guys etc etc. I mean if everyone had AIM or MSN I would chat in a group room there too, but not everyone does and not everyone can access them at worl.

Yeah, agreed. It is about the same as THE SANDBAR over at hot boat used to be. At Fiberglassics.com, (I am a regular sort of there too) Kelly and Sandi, (the owners) fought with boat relevant posts for about a year before in a phone conversation I recommended to Kelly to create a section where people could just chat. He did it for a while, and then killed it, thinking his site should be just about boats. There was a huge outcry, and today, there is a specific forum there called NBR, (Non-boat related) where people can go to "water-cooler" it without there being a bunch of crap sprinkled in on the serious boat thread. It is rather elegant for them, and this seems to be that place for Tigeowners...
