Maybe at bestbuy, go online to newegg. HDMI is cheap. What I like about HDMI, is I don't have to use a DVI cable, and an optical cable, I just have it all in one nice cable.
I just got this receiver a few months ago (4th denon receiver over the years, I love em) and it does HDMI switching, and hdmi out to the plasma. I think the wii is the only component I have on this thing, all else is HDMI.
I got the ps3 hooked with components but for some reason the resolution I can get the playstation to broadcast at is 480p. All others dont display right. I thought that there was a tv setting but I cant find anything.

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

So you input all your Dvd playes consoles etc into that and it outputs it as HDMI?
Yes, its the only way to go, IMHO. And you have one remote. I just tell the receiver which device I want to use, and it routes that to the TV. Sound is amazing, powers my definitive technology speakers. The receiver also upconverts everything, to whatever you set, like 720P, or 1080P if you choose. And the video chip in there is top notch.
I have an Apple TV, Toshiba HDDVD, Xbox 360, Comcast HDDVR all coming in through HDMI, Wii with component, and one single HDMI cable to the 50" plasma.
This last time, I bought 5, I HATE it when I need one, NOW, and have to go to radio shack and they charge me $50. So I have a few extra stored somewhere. DVI cables for your computer are also very expensive, just buy them from linkdepot/newegg. Save you tons of dough.

Thats sweet!
Right now all of our stuff is directly to the TV. I made a little guide and taped it to the back of the remote so the whole family will know what to change the tv to for each system.
