I now stand corrected, as I have done some research and determined that they did install a few in some of the ultra-premium systems. Not many, and it would have been the S10L74 woofer.

my bass is loud I guess, everything just seems different, I need ameter to determine it. that way I can tell for sure my darn NVS's are just so loud

You can pour a lot of coals to the L7 woofer. A large properly tuned vented box will HAMMER as well!!!! It just take a big box and a proper port with a lot of area to keep the air velocity in the port as low as possible. Ports get real noisy, and horribly noticeable when the air velocity is high and goes turbulent.

I was lazy and had an acquaintance with reasonable skills manufacture the last enclosure I had built; a HUGE mistake. He cheated the port area WAY too much to try to get the port length short, all trying to drive to an Fb goal, and the thing ended up sounding line CHIT!!! I ended up spraying insulating foam into the port to seal the box and converting it to a sealed enclosure alignment.

If you go L7, and you want loud, go vented, and let's work together to make sure we get as big a box as possible, a lot of port area, low velocity and an Fb of somewhere around 40 Hz. The bigger we can make the box, the less port length we need for a given Fb...

Who needs the V8 motor under the hatch anyway...

the box is made from alumapro and is nice. I have heard them on duanes so I think I need to just move it around.
