It is hard to chose between those two types of beers. I like them both...
I like them both to drink but to brew a lager is much more dificult without the proper equipment. Done at too high of a temp it becomes very fruity. yuk

I made a Honey Ale beer and a stout while I was in San Diego.
I made my own beer when I lived in San Diego. We went to a store that specialized in brew your own beer.
So... That means you need to get a camping stove or one of those turkey frying stoves....
You most likely bought premade mash, hops and some type of sugar. Then you can just heat then strain and cool. I buy the grains and boil and bake to make my own mash. You need an oven. Without spending more money that could go to the boat rather stinl up the inside of the house

That stout must have been about 9% alc.....
and bottled them in a 20 ounce bottle. It was really nice but the only problem was that we would have 4-5 cases of beer... The same flavor all the time... Had to go to the store once in awhile and buy other types so I didn't get bored off one flavor....
