We have been trying to fix the problem at the stereo, whe the problem lies elsewhere.

I was in a boat plant yesterday dignosing and working on solutions to get rid of the pops that we all have in our stereos. You know, the pops when we turn on a pump, or adjust something controlled be an electrical relay...

I know what is causing the noise now, and I also know maybe a couple of solutions...

I just can't share, (yet) as it involves "cutting" into boat wiring that is NOT stereo. Safety, liability and product warranties come to mind right away.

Hang tight; there are some people working on it.
When do you think this might be made available to pee-ons like us.

There is so many wires in Doms boat I am surprised that he only had a few crossed. My eyes would have been crossed within the first hour of wiring that thing...

It is a simple parts addition. Available now, not like it is an add-on that will be sold and marketed...

What we found was that the stereo system got quiet when we implemented a method of absorbing and discharging the Electromagnetic field collapse from a relay or solenoid coil.

Relays and solenoids control electrical switching, ballast pumps, anchor windlasses, stern-drive trim pumps, trim tabs, etc....

I just am being cautious at the moment; want to make sure not to recommend a "solution" to an annoying stereo pop that ultimately caused an accident due to mechanical malfunction...

That is totally understandable. You say something and the little guy will do it where he didn't need to. hense starting a fire in his boat.... Dom on the other hand might just need something like that ....

yeah they sound great! funny thing about those I was getting good volume in them at the river and couldn't figure out why I didn't have much bass either. well, it turns out I reversed the rca's, so they were going to the sub and NVS not the right one's. Switched them and the stereo was SCREAMING again
