Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

Why was your dogs med. in your mouth????
no, the medicne absorbs through skin, and it shows up in a taste form in your mouth.

It's her rear paw, and when I put the "e collar" on her she goes ape S)*^&*)( cuz it touches her ears, and it's does more damage then good.

ok, thanks. We tried this other type of collar, it was a 6 inch wide collar, but she could still get to her foot, so that didn't work. I Need something tha attaches to her shoulders so she can't move the neck and shoulders, that would work.

This is going to sound mean but what about a muzzle? That would stop her from licking and nipping at her heel.....

A restrictive collar or large e-collar is what you need. She will be rather annoyed at first but will succumb to the collar in due time. This is the most effective and humane way to treat you dog. The consequences of allowing your dog access to the wound are far greater than some minor discomfort/annoyance of a e-collar. The dog will become accustomed to the collar; it is just like any other discipline that you train your dog to do. Be strong and maintain the collar, it is likely harder for the owner than the dog to keep the collar and adjusting to life with it on.

Good Luck and I hope your pet heals quickly.

I have a muzzler on her and she is muzzled everyday, but you can't find muzzles that do not allow licking, and she can still lick

I guess I'll try the e-collar bit. I'll have to put her in the kennel though, as she will go Ape S(*(*&(*(&^&%^ while I'm at work if I leave her out. I'll pick one up at lunch.
