no I have yet to even find one with an alarm, they do make one that would move a servo forward, so I could use that one to turn the fans on. The problem is it's 2.5 times more expensive. SO, i figured I'd use these and then upgrade to that if I have a problem.

I am not putting all the amps in the same compartment, so I really think I won't have a amp heating issure at all, but just want to be able to monitor it.

I'm also installing vents now so the compartment won't be as hot, since air can move freely. So then if I put the fans on it will move 38 CFM of air, which would be turning the air over in the compartments every minute or two, so I think they would be fine, esp after reading spharris's post on how little air does to cool things down anyway.

Very true, and I saw some of your amps are in the open. I would only be more worried about the ones that are in the storage compartments. We got a fan blowing across our and I dont like it because it runs as soon as you turn the key. Yeah our amp hasnt cut out since weve had it but when the radio is not on we dont want it running down the battery.

well in the open is not really true. under my feet there is also two amps, as well as 1 10 inch solo, that you didn't see, so air space will be confined. Those two amps will not have any fans on them, unless I need to put one on, but still wanna know the temps. When it's 120 out here in the desert, gotta make sure I'm not frying my amps, and just frying my skin and brain cells

think I"ll just pick up the cheap one's, as the possiblity still lingers that as soon as I find out they don't need to be constintly monitored I may just pull them off the boat.
