no, he called when I was working on the boat, called him back and didn't hear from him. Guess he was on the water. I worked on the house/boat/yard and got a LOT done, as you can see from the stereo thread.Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!

I will have to check that out. I am thinking about working on the grab handle tonight and seeing what I need to do and start some of the work. Regarding the grab handle, would you put a rubber/plastic washer between the gelcoat and the bar? I am thinking that this might help with some of the wear and tear on the gelcoat/bar connection. What do you think?

i would do both.
Do a rubber, then plastic/nylon/ then your handle. Ther reason being is that if you just use the rubber I would think that the metal may wear the rubber down faster. I'm sure it's over kill, but I always error in the side of safety/longevity.Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!

if your cutting through your hole, read this!!!! Learn from my mistake.
U can flame if you want, but when I was putting my ballast system in and doing the through hull drains, I didn't think to factor in the angle of the hull. SO me being the rookie I just drilled straight through. I of course had everything masking taped off to avoid chipping, did it slow, pre drilled a small hole first, but I didn't go flush with the hull. the hull is not at 90 degrees to the ground, and I was, so I made an elipse for a hole instead of a circle. I was able to cover most of it, and I think I'm the only one that knows and can tell, but still, just FYI.Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!
