Actually, you have your taps working but the gauge isn't. I have not taps....
I think the oil is leaking out of mine. After exiting the water with the boat on Sunday, there was a rainbow effect in the water that left the plug area. I put my hand into the water to see if the rainbow effect was gas and it didn't have an odor like gas would. Since I couldn't tell if the oil was red or not because the dock is asphalt, I am ASSUMING it is the oil from the Taps system. The mechanic at the dealership thinks it is also but he needed to see it..... And..... I am praying that it is under warranty. We had some cold nights this winter and I winterized it with some friends but you know how that is..... I just hope that I didn't crack the block but that is me being the person that thinks about the worst case senerio...

That would suck though.... I depend upon the gauge to make sure that the wake for the children is not huge and the gauge is what I look at and not the wake itself..... It will be interesting to see what they say. I would think that the gauge would be covered under the extended warranty.... Then you can have it done for free and you don't have to mess with it....

Ops, also we had the boat in the carport with the cover on and everything sealed up.... So the possiblity of a block crack is reduced some I would think..... But, I bought a heavy duty light bulb to put into the engine area for next winter so I have something to heat this area and then I don't have to worry about it.....

well just a little fyi for you.
This winter I actually winterized my boat, since it was still in OK and I didn't know if I would bring it to cali or not. I don't plan on even winterizing my boat this year, and here is why. Over this winter, once I placed the boat into cali. I put one of those weather station monitors in my engine housing. This was the remote part. Inside I had the digital read out. My boat just sits under a car cover, and then under the boat cover. The coldest my engine housing area ever got, with just 1 100w bulb in it was 41 F. Even when outside my other station was reading 18-20. I figure this year I'll just drain all the water out, keep all the blue plugs out and just call it good. I'll keep monitoring it and I figure it will be fine.
I also know that in OK I would keep two small space heaters on the boat, and then keep the boat in an enclosed storage with the cover on. Even when it was 10 below, i would go to check on the boat and the inside of the boat, ie under the cover I would break a sweat it was so warm in there, so I would have to wear shorts and a tee to keep cool.
Just some useless info if you need it.Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!
