So, why are you 3ming the boxing like that. I would have thought flat black paint would have been better at the start and then the 3m

make it so I can put a led it in, and it can glow do a little bling bling! I have the idea in my head, and can put it on paper for someone to make it, just not sure it can even be done. But if it can, talk about sweet!! wanna do a mixture of mdf and plexi.

Plexiglass would be good. A little expensive but will work just fine and the some LED's in the boxes.. That would be nice.

I wanted to let this stuff just soak and absoarb and bond with the wood. Plus the 3m stuff didn's stick to paint very well, so just figured I'd try this. I think it will work great!! Also Razz did it this way as well.

yeah but making a plexiglass ported box I think will be hard. Not sure how to attach everything. Going to stop by someplace today or something and see what they say would cost to just make one for me.

MDF for the bottom and back of the box painted black or silver would look nice...

You could even put mirrors where the MDF would be and that would send out more light from the LED's...

yeah I thought about doing the port and the front wall in plexi, the sides and the bottom in MDF, paint it a white and black combo, and then have a red led in side.

yeah, or I could paint/line it with something that is reflective.

I would worry about the amount of coats that you have to put on it...

The mirror thing wouldn't be original but would definately send out more light...

when I lined my trunk, I put about 6 coats, made it probably a mm or 2 thick and it worked awesome, had to let it dry, but it was tough as nails!!
