I live on a deadend street. We have been know to keep doors unlocked during the day because the children don't take keys to school.... So, I would say that the neighborhood is good if not great..... There is absolutely no reason for anyone to go down our street except for people that live on it....

Fair Oaks is a very good area to start off in. Folsom is good and that is located right next to Orangevale and Fair Oaks. Now,,,, Citrus Heights (about 2 miles north) isn't that good but we wouldn't need to go up there for anything......
